Happy Corrected Age Birthday
Today, the boys are one - corrected age. They are doing so well. Neither walks unsupported, but both walk when you are holding only one hand. The free walking will happen any day. It will make life both easier and harder.
This picture was taken today. I think it answers to all (I hope) the question of are they identical. Both are totally adorable, but not the same. They'd look more alike if Corwyn had darker (and more) hair. They are definately brothers though.

Twin BBQ
Our local twinclub had its annual BBQ on Sunday. It was a blast. It was quite tiring as they kept crawling everywhere, but of course next year when they are walking, it will be more tiring as they will be running everywhere. Still, it is so worth it.
They wore their new t-shirts. I got these from Simply Colors (http://www.simplycolors.com/) where you can custom make a tshirt, pants, hats etc. the quality of the shirt is amazing. I'm very impressed. I chose the wording because I think I hear it 100 times a day and wanted to get the jump on people. I also love that they have something with their names. I'm not very likely to find anything preprinted with Corwyn.

Playmobil or FP Little People or ???
I bought the boys their first Little People playset (farm) at a swap meet. They seem to like it and I can see the beginnings of role playing happening. They also love opening and closing the gates and doors and exploring all the areas of the barn and carry the animals around. I was looking around at other new and used sets and there are lots out there.
Then I came across a place that had both Little People and Playmobil sets. And I went hmmm. To me, they both seem good, but I'm not a toddler. I dont have any first hand experience with Playmobile and limited with LP. So I figured I'd throw it out there to blogland where those who have the experience might have some input.
Let me know what you think of either set or if you know of something else that might be good, fire away. I'm not locked into anything. )Except Lego. I cant wait for Xmas this year when the boys are old enough for Duplo - and since I have an entire closet of my lego, once they are past 3 its smooth sailing)

I still cant believe its been a year.....
The boys had their first year checkup yesterday. They were not impressed with the 4 shots. Nathan got over it quickly (before I got him dressed) but my wonderful little Corwyn continued to sniffle and protest for a while (he's so cute).
Nathan came in at 11kg (24.3 lbs) and 79cm (31.1 inches)
Corwyn kept his own pace at 9.69kg (21.4lbs) and 77cm (30.3 inches)
Their height difference has almost stayed steady at around 2cm. But as you can see, Nathan has been gaining on Corwyn in the weight department. Nathan is in no way a chubby boy, but is built much sturdier. Its only 3 pounds, but when you hold each, you can really feel those pounds. Both remain very tall for their age.
I was looking back over the blog from last year. What a time that was, with hospital stays and visits, unsure medical diagnosis. Heck, I didn't even pick their names until I met them. Their names suit them so much. I cant imagine them having any other name. Even the meanings fit. Their names mean gift from god, enthusiastic and hearts delight, twin. Pretty good.
Now onto the eye candy. These were taken by some friends who love the boys and enjoy taking them on long walks. The boys obviously enjoy spending time with them.
